Can I bring my own fabric?
Yes. We sew your fabric to your measurements and wishes. Ideally bring the fabric to the workshop together with your measurements.
Do you have fabrics to choose from?
Yes, particularly for sheers we keep a choice of fabrics and lace. We are happy to choose the right fabric with you.
How much does a made-to-measure curtain cost?
The price depends on fabric, size, lining and finish. There is no fixed price list. We agree the price with you before we start.
How long does it take?
It depends on the job and on our workload. We give you a date when we take the order.
How do I measure my window?
Measure the width of the track or pole and the height from the fixing point to where the curtain should end (floor or sill). Note whether you are giving the track size or the finished curtain size. Photos of the window help too.
Do I need an appointment?
It is best to call ahead or request an appointment online, so we can make time for you.
Can you shorten or alter my curtains?
Yes. We shorten, hem and alter curtains and sheers. Bring them in and tell us the finished length you want.
Do you work for interior designers, furniture stores and upholsterers?
Yes. We make up curtains, roman blinds, valances and panel curtains to your specification. Send us your documents through the project form.
Do you make curtains for hotels?
Yes. For hotels and other commercial interiors we sew curtains as a making-up partner to the companies that fit them out.
Where exactly is the workshop?
Holzhofring 6, Trifthof business park, 82362 Weilheim in Oberbayern (Weilheim-Schongau district), Bavaria. Not to be confused with Weilheim an der Teck.
Do you sew anything other than curtains?
Yes: cushion covers, corner-bench seat pads, chair covers, bedspreads and tablecloths, plus alterations, repairs and relining of clothing.
